Multiple Sclerosis

Under its politic to support national causes, Merck is a partner of the Portuguese Society for Multiple Sclerosis (SPEM). SPEM, a Private Institution of Social Solidarity, was established in 1984, and it is a member of the International Federation of Multiple Sclerosis Societies, as well as the "RIMS", Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis.

One of the highlights of Merck's support is reflected in the sponsorship of actions (exhibitions, theatre plays, etc.) that mark the National Day for People with Multiple Sclerosis, Dec. 4.
